B.Com

The Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) at Shantiniketan College is a three-year degree program offered by Bangalore University with a view to impart in-depth knowledge and broad understanding of Accounting and Financial Management. It provides a strong foundation level understanding of the functioning of business organizations, commercial transactions and business management.

Key Objectives of the B.Com Program

Ensure that the students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude to meet the challenges of the modern-day business organizations.
Help the students develop business acumen, analytical skills, financial literacy and managerial skills.
To enhance the practical knowledge and help students develop marketable job skills by simulating real-life scenarios by conducting competitions, projects and internships.
To develop competency in students to pursue higher studies such as ACCA, CMA, CFA, CPA, MBA, M. Com, CA, etc.
Prepare students to work in the public or the private sector.
Ensure that the students are well equipped to work for a company or to excel as an entrepreneur.

BBA

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Shantiniketan College is a three-year degree program offered by Bangalore University with a view to impart in-depth knowledge and broad understanding of Business and Financial Management. Pre University Course

We follow the curriculum prescribed by the Department of Pre University Education, Karnataka for both I and II Pre University courses.

PUC Commerce

EGBA: Economics, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy
SCBA: Statistics, Computer Science, Business Studies, Accountancy

I Language : English
II Language : Kannada / Hindi / Sanskrit
Eligibility : Pass in SSLC / 10th class in CBSE or ICSE

Admission Procedure

1. Application forms can be collected from the college office as per the dates announced by the Department of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka (pue.kar.nic.in) after the declaration of Karnataka SSLC Examination results.

2. Application forms will not be available online or by post.

3. Fee structure for all the combinations will be available along with the form.

4. The duly filled in application form must be submitted at the college office within two days of the publication of results (Karnataka State SSLC, CBSE and ICSE).

5. The provisional list of selected candidates based on the total marks scored along with admission date will be published on the college notice board.

6. As part of the admission process the candidates accompanied by both parents are expected to meet the Principal for an interview on the stipulated date for a counseling session.

7. Admission will be denied if a candidate fails to join within the stipulated time.

8. Applicants must have a pass in SSLC examination (Karnataka State) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka and must satisfy all conditions set by it.

9. Candidates, who belong to any of the following categories, SC, ST, Category 1/2A/2B/3A/3B and those who are physically challenged must produce certificates in proof of their caste/category/or disability. The original certificate issued by the appropriate authorities of the Government of Karnataka, its photocopy, attested by a Gazetted Officer must be submitted along with the application form.

Admission Procedure

2. Application forms will not be available online or by post.

3. Application for admission must be in the prescribed form. Candidates, who wish to apply must fill the application form and submit the same with marks scored in II PUC/12th class/Equivalent exam.

4. Fee structure for all the combinations will be available along with the form.

5. The duly filled in application form must be submitted in the college office within due date mentioned.

6. Documents to be submitted by Karnataka Students for admission

* II PUC/ 12th / Equivalent Marks Card

* I PUC/11th /Equivalent Marks Card

* Transfer Certificate

* Caste Certificate and Income Certificate (For SC/ST and Cat I) issued by a competent authority

* Six passport size Photographs

7. Documents to be submitted by Non-Karnataka Students for admission

* II PUC/ 12th / Equivalent Marks Card

* I PUC/11th /Equivalent Marks Card

* Transfer Certificate

* Migration Certificate

* Caste Certificate and Income Certificate (For SC/ST and Cat I) issued by a competent authority

* Six passport size Photographs

8. The provisional list of selected candidates based on the total marks scored in II PUC along with admission date will be published on the college notice board.

9. The candidates accompanied by parents/guardians are expected to meet the Principal for an interview on the stipulated date. As part of the admission process, both parents/guardians and wards must attend the counseling session.

10. Admission will be denied if a candidate fails to join within the stipulated time.
