Student’s Council
To develop and promote leadership qualities among students, the college selects a student council.  The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out college activities and service projects.  In addition to planning events that contribute to college spirit and community welfare, the student council acts as the voice of the student body.  They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the principal and college faculty.

Parents are encouraged to interact with the faculty on a regular basis and monitor the performance of the student.

Anti-ragging Cell
Ragging is strictly banned at Shantiniketan College. Any student found indulging in ragging in any form, directly or indirectly, actively or passively, or being a part of conspiracy to promote ragging, within or outside the campus, would face strict disciplinary action by the College.

To ensure that we provide a safe and secure environment for our students we have established an anti-ragging cell as per the guidelines of UGC. All complaints pertaining to any kind of ragging by any student/group of students of the SEI inside or outside the College campus may be reported to ‘Anti-ragging Cell’ by writing a letter or sending a mail to antiraggingcell@shantiniketanit.com.

Students’ Counselling Cell
Our students come from various social, economic and cultural backgrounds, sometimes they face challenges while adapting to college life. To help our students deal with these challenges we have hired a full-time counselor to listen to their concerns about academic, emotional or social problems. The main role of the counselor is to ensure that the students process their problems in a timely manner and plan goals and action. While the students are encouraged to visit the counselor by voluntary appointment, the teachers may also refer students who they feel with be benefited from such referral. Our counselor also helps mediate conflict between students and teachers. This helps address the behavioral issues marked by the teachers thereby helping the teacher to understand the students better. Information is kept confidential unless the situation warrants it, such as when the safety of the child is in question.

Equal Opportunity Cell
Shantiniketan College has established an Equal Opportunity Cell, as per the guidelines of UGC, to oversee the effective implementation of policies and programs for disadvantaged groups, to provide guidance and counseling with respect to academic, financial, social and other matters and to enhance the diversity within the campus. At SEI we ensure that equal opportunity is given to all the students for participation in all activities of the college without any discrimination based on color, caste, creed, economic status and gender. In case of any grievance with respect to discrimination students can reach out to Equal Opportunity Cell to find an amicable solution to the problem they are facing.

Placement Cell
Campus recruitment is available through our placement cell for students in the final year of their program of study. The placement cell coordinates the placement activity in the campus.
There is a great deal of enthusiasm among final year students when the placement season starts off. Students come forward with their queries regarding companies, placement procedures and the Placement Cell members readily help them.In addition to ongoing employability training programs throughout the course, the placement cell of the college prepares students by conducting an intensive training workshop to groom the skills of the students in order to make them industry ready. Spread over a period of two weeks, the workshop includes topics likes resume building, group discussions, mock interviews, current affairs, one-minute self-introduction and soft skills training. In the final year, students also undergo computer literacy course including Tally.
