Pratibhotsava- a festival of Talent.
India is one of the richest countries when it comes to cultural heritage. To showcase the rich culture and history of our country SEI celebrates “Pratibhotsava: A talent hunt” a week of events with various themes focusing mainly on reintroducing our students to the rich cultural heritage of India.
This event provides a platform for students to exhibit and develop their talents. Each year, a wide variety of artistic, literary and other creative talents are identified and recognized through a series of competitions like cooking without fire, art out of waste, collage based on a topic, rangoli, drawing, essay writing, music & dance.

It is a carnival conducted for our budding entrepreneurs. SEI also provides a large platform for students to exhibit what they have learnt throughout the academic year by conducting Annual Exhibition.

Environment Day
To teach the students various simple ways of protecting the environment and inculcate responsibility we celebrate Environment Day with environment-friendly activities to encourage students to be sensitive to their relationship with the environment and build awareness among them.
Farewell and Celebration of Annual College Day
A colourful extravaganza of music, dance and drama which marks the highpoint of each academic year, make for a vibrant college environment.

Apart from academics, SEI encourages sports and related activities and our students are provided with ample opportunities to excel in both indoor and outdoor games. At SEI we believe that it is through games and sports that character is molded and qualities like leadership, dedication and integrity are inculcated in students. The facilities available on the campus include basketball, volley ball and throw ball courts and indoor table tennis courts, chess and carroms.

 

Our Annual sports day meet KREEDOTSAVA is celebrated every year to improve the teamwork/spirit and help our students gain confidence. Our students get to participate in various sports on that day.

 
Industrial Visits offer students an opportunity to gain practical knowledge. Classroom teaching becomes more meaningful and effective when students get an opportunity to observe and learn how the concepts, they learn in classroom are put into action in a real working environment. At SEI industrial visits are organized for all classes in the academic year by their class mentors.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) of SEI College works towards the betterment of society by conducting various social events to make our society a better place to live in. It provides our students an opportunity to venture out of their comfort zones and make a difference in society.
Our NSS Students have attended various seminars and camps organized by District, State and National level NSS wings. We regularly organize seven-day special annual camp every year where 50-60 selected students participate. During these camps, villagers are educated about health, hygiene, environment awareness, women empowerment and social responsibility. The students form a close bond with the villagers by actively participating in the activities of the village.

  • State Republic Day parade On the 26th of January 2019, 13 students of our college represented Indian Red Cross and participated in Republic Day Parade held at Maneksha Parade Ground.
  • Clean India Green India (Swachhata Abhiyan) The motto behind this event was to inculcate awareness about the importance of hygiene and good health that can be taken care of if we adopt cleaner ways of living and keep our surroundings clean.  The students pledged to Make India cleaner and greener! They conducted awareness sessions in Government School and also cleaned the surrounding areas of our college.
  • Blood Donation Camp A Blood Donation drive dedicated to “Kargil Vijay Diwas” was conducted in the college on July 26th 2019 in association with Indian Red Cross Society. 121 people donated blood and overall, this Blood Donation Drive was a big win and success for the entire unit!
  • Save a girl child (Beti Bachao Beti Padhao) Our students have visited rural areas and performed street plays and gave speech to bring awareness on importance of girl child and women empowerment.
  • Vittiya Saksharata Abhiyan (Cashless Economy awareness) Our unit visited Bilekahalli, Kodichikkanhalli, BTM and surrounding areas to educate the people regarding the convenience and usefulness of cashless economy.
  • No plastic day To avoid the usage of plastic bags our students conducted awareness programs for Government school students and local community to show how every action we take, and every bag we dispose of, effects the lives of everyone in the world for generations to come by. They also highlighted the importance of making of paper bags and segregation of waste.
  • Garden Cleaning Our NSS Unit volunteers on a weekly basis to clean Kodichikannhalli Garden.
  • Visit to Old age home Our students have visited an old age home and they carried with them groceries, fresh fruits and snacks and distributed it among the inmates. They also spent time talking to the inmates and entertaining them.
The most notable achievement of our NSS unit was when we were awarded the Best camp of the Year Award for the year 2017-18 by NSS Bhavan of Bangalore University

To create an awareness of India’s cultural diversity and develop national spirit, all important national festivals and special days are celebrated at SEI College. The Faculty and Students of SEI College participate with much enthusiasm and gusto in all these festivals.
