Activity Based Learning

This program is designed keeping in mind the pre-primarians of SEI. Activity based learning fosters skills in problem solving, critical analysis and creativity.The children actively participate in their own learning experience through practical activities and independent investigations. There by stimulating the sense of sight, smell, vision and feeling.

Activity based learning help children develop a positive attitude towards education setting them up for a successful academic future. Thinking critically, being independently inquisitive and learning through experience has been accentuated. Learning help students express and explore their curiosity. Once the students become curious , they tend to explore and learn by themselves. Our facilitators assist students in selecting the child friendly educational aids keeping in mind the aptitude and skill of each individual.

SEI pre-primary focuses on developing teamwork and social skills by encouraging kids to enjoy the learning experience. Children work in the areas of English, math, science, drawing, rhymes, games and story.

Maths

Language and communication program believes that working on communication skill builds the language and confidence to read, write, listen and understand. The activities in the environment are based on the phonetic approach of letters, connecting letters to pictures, guess the object, picture telling, role play, flashcard interaction, active listening games and exercises.
Mathematics a collection of preschool math activities designed to develop essential math skill that support children in learning to identify numbers, how to count, sort, compare, classify objects, shapes, to use mathematical operators and the skill of measurement.

Carpet Time

Children at this age demonstrate a keen interest in exploring and discovering the world around them. Our activities incorporate stimuli from the immediate environment to allow observation, investigation, exploration, questioning and documentation of the children’s unique discoveries.
The most awaited and entertaining session of the day ,skills of social interaction, conversing, feeling, thinking are learnt by sharing ideas and experiences with each other during the session , which is a thought provoking period of reflection and learning.
